Congratulations to our winder, David Haass!
David Haass, district manager of Kirwan's Game Store and Adventure Awaits, has long been a friend of Stephen Carpenter, owner of Nutmeg Games.
Haass also is best friends with Christopher Juliano, who he knocked out of the Top 8 in the quarterfinals, after showing the camera a note saying "We're best friends!!!". Chris was noted as the "hero" of the tournament for being one of the few players not on UR Murktide or Creativity.
In his interview after winning the event, Haass noted that his toughest matchup was probably Tom Strong, quarterfinalist, saying he was definitely "the best player in the tournament".
